oil

actualli i have some questions about the oil.. i read everywhere thing about zinc? i have 10w40 halfsentetic .. is that good ??

Wezz: I never heard of that oil and have never seen it before Look up the MSDS sheet ( tech & safety sheet) on your Holland Google! It will tell you the zinc content of that brand oil! Make sure the data sheet is up to date!!!

Cant find it jester . It wasnt A cheap oil i think its a semi syntetic oil .. Do i have to get an other can What can go wrong?

You can get a bottle of zinc additive like Lucas break in oil adaptive and can use it with every oil change or use the red or blue plastic bottle of STP in a pinch the red has more zinc then the blue!

Ok. Can you send a link .. And how much ofthe additive do i have to fil to the. Oil . I have almost 5 liter oil in the engine now .. Is that right?

5 qts including a standard filter or 4.7318 liter So yes you are about right

O sorry. The shop says its semi sentetic and he said it was good enoug formmu engine. He said a zinc is a littlr better .. Think it wel becime good withe the oil i have dont u think so?

I would run a good 10w30 engine oil with ZDDP or use a Zinc adative like LUCAS, your breaking in a new flat tappet cam YOU MUST use the zddp oil or a good break in oil like BARRY GRANT oil or equivalent

Hmm i called the mechanic shop and they never heard about it Zinc .. Also i have to order it un the usa. Here its not used much i think . I think i run it with the. 10w40 oil . Becouse its already in it . What can happend jester .. Can u tell me. Thnx

Yes that should do it! I don't know your products over there so Im guessing if its right or not ? do they sell S.T.P. oil treatment there? S.T.P. would work!! Without the Zinc (ZDDP) you could ruin your cam!

Volkswagen Kever Smeermiddelen Toevoegingen - Hot Rod Webshop here is the site its in Holland. They call it a. "One shot bottle". Zinc zddp for. Old engines. Like vw And hotrods .. Its 44 ml would it be enoug? On 5 litr 10w40? Thanyou jester !
