Post Pumpkin Swap

Im planin on doing a pumpkin swap on my '69 elcamino. I gotta have the posi. is it as simple as just puttin in a Limited slip pumpkin, or is here more to it than that? What should i expevt?

the new posi unit will have to be shimmed for proper bearing preload, runout and backlash, you will need a box of shims, aftermkt spacers, something to read the pattern with(white grease or marking paint)and a dial indicator setup.

Just about.Drop the drive shaft off the rearead. Crack open/remove the bolts from the rear cover draining the fluid out of the rearend housing then remove the rear cover and remove the pin seperating the axles then remove the C-clips and and pull out the axles, you will need to pull the wheels and brake drums first/caliper if the rear end is disc, take out the bolts on the front and pull out the pig, now replace the gasket and bolt in the new posi/pig, replace the axles the pin and c-clips and the gasket and rear cover and add new fluid.
