push rod???

I Bought a 68 ford 302 engine that was in a dragster at one time.it has been removed and was taken down to the short block stage.my question is....
The block is a 302 but the heads that came with it are 289 heads.no push rods...do i buy 302 push rods that are longer or do i use 289 push rods that are shorter? im going with HYD.lifters

Looks to me like with the 289 heads on your 302 the blocks should be the same either way, IMO you would need the push-rods for the 289 heads to work out properly visa versa. JMO
