Pushrod length?

puttin a 280 magnum in my 350 sbc this weekend.. still gota pick up my roller rockers and lifters.. but sound i buy new pushrods?? im thinkin i should... same lenght as the ones i got tho? or how do u tell if i need longer/shorter ones? my set up it stock rebuild.. 624 heads, gear drive.. the cams goin in.. new lifters... new valve springs and seals are goin in... already have edelbrock performer on it.. as well as a 750 sec. holley.. headers.. now if i get new lifters and rockers will the orignal lenght pushrods work? or do i gota go thro alota measuring and all like on comp cams web site.. didn't really understand it to much.. thats y im asking u guys.. hope someone can help.. thanx

Pushrod length is pretty critical if you are using rollers. There is a plastic tool that lets you ck your push rod length for proper valve train geometry. The machine shop I use has one, probaby cost 25 cents, but is really trick. It slides over the rocker stud and rests on the top of the valve stem. Then yuo measure how far the rod is from the tool or how far the stem is from the tool ( if it hits the push rod first) and make the necessary adjustments in rod length.

Here is the tool I was talking about. "pushrod length tool", about 3 or 4 items down.
