Pushrod Length

Anyone know how to figure out what length pushrods I need? I am running Jegs 197cc aluminum heads, comp cam pro magnum rockers, crane cams 288 dur, 536 lift intake, 294 dur 554 lift exhaust flat tapet mechanical cam, stud girdles, and poly locks. im not even sure how to check for proper length and this is my first mechcanical cam so i dont want to screw it up specialy with all the $$$$ in my motor. ps the cam came with the proper springs at 1.550 seat hight it is cam kit part number 270-110982 from jegs. Any thoughts?

Did you have any machine work done? Was the deck milled excessively? The heads?

Call up Jeg's and ask them. They should be able to tell you a standard measurement. If you didn't have any millwork done you can start with what they say to use. Then, check how the rocker arm rides on the valve tip. If it is within their acceptable range you are okay.

The only way to verify correct pushrod length is to measure with a checking pushrod.
