Yes, those would be safer than the unknown wall thickness of the $27 set. I tried to ask Summit for my own curiosity from the eBay site showing those p-rods, was told they don't answer questions like that. The other info I saw was saying this was all the info available, so finding out the wall thickness w/o sawing one in half prollably ain't happening.
