ok, the only thing left I need to know is how to hold the panel in place until the adhesive cures.

Use clamps or sheet metal screws every 2 0r 3 inches,if you use screws deburr the holes on both sides so the burrs dont hold the panels apart.

If I can't weld the screw holes closed, how's the best way to fill the screw holes?

I don't normally use screw holes.. reason being you can't weld, I normally spend alot of time making sure the patch fits perfect and doesn't need to be pulled in by screws in any given spot.. then i just weight it down.. actually the last patch i glued i couldn't come up with anything to clamp it down either so what I did was used the fast adhesive and had me and another guy stand there and hold it down until it was completely cured.. about 10 min.. yeah our hands were getting tired, but I got the final product I was looking for..

so, the best way to attach them would be to pull the bedsides from the bed, and put them across some sawhorses, then weight them down with something? Is their any difference in brands of panel adhesives? is the stuff I'm gonna get from NAPA gonna be ok? do curing times differ from brand to brand?
