Post Q-Jet secondaries

I took my 67 Chevelle out for the first time in a couple months. The secondaries aren't opening. What's the likely cause? It worked fine when I parked it.

Thanks

Could be just gummed-up. Do they open easily by pushing with your finger? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

or you might need to adjust the tensioner spring on the top pas.side rear of the carb. you need to loosen the allen screw, and then you can adjust the screw

Everything opens freely by hand. I started it and checked the lock out. It unlocks when the fast idle is off, but it flops around a bit. When I take off I think it may be swinging to the locked position before the secondaries have a chance to open. I'll use a spring to keep it unlocked and see if this is the problem. Unfortunately its snowing so I won't be able to check it for a few days.

Thanks for the help
