i just put a quadrajet on my truck and i just bolted it on and it worked just fine. i drove it around the block once and when i got back i ran out of gas . so i filled it back up and now its not even acting like its wants to turn over, and i aint really shure what to do.

The Q-jet is a great carb! I modified and raced them back in the 80s on local oval tracks with much success.
When you say it "doesn't want to turn over", do you mean the engine won't crank? Or do you mean the engine won't fire?

With a rubber mallet or a cloth wrapped piece of wood smack the front of the carb once.

Every Quadrajet I have ever ordered has arrived with the Float stuck because of shipping.

Just had to do the exact same thing for the 454 vette and it was not rebuilt but an original new one (NOS) from years ago.

For being a DUH!
