That sucks your computer crashed. I been using the larger floats with the larger needle and seat. Had problems with most of the Edeljunk Q jet 0.149, without an elaborate regulator ect. so i get the 0.145 from Quadrajetparts.com and only ones ever given me trouble (had a rough spot down in there), otherwise good luck with nice flow windows in them. They got all pictures of floats i guess what i want if thy are long arm or not.

I would give Cliff Ruggles a call at Cliffs High Performance Quadrajets :: Qjet Carburetor Rebuild Kits, Parts, Quadrajet Rebuilding, Quadrajet Parts, Bushing Kits, Carb Tuning and ask for a recommendation. He will need the number off the carburetor, since only the year of manufacture doesn't give him enough info.

Honestly, IMHO the "best" one for it is a name brand unmodified float made for the exact carb it's going into. As long as the fuel pressure and volume are sufficient the bowl will not be too small until you are into the 500 HP range. If you want, you can use a brass float, the nitrophyl floats will degrade over time w/the sorry fuel we now get. Also be sure there are no nicks or damage to the plastic float before you walk out of the store w/it. Last edited by cobalt327; 09-07-2012 at 07:07 AM. |

I was able to find that Napa carries the identical float I have
so I'm just gonna get it. However I remember the last time I bought a new float, I think it was $5 bucks, now it's $15. |
