Quadrajet Idle question

How do i adjust idle speed on a factory quadrajet?

Thanks, i would have never guessed that it would be adjusted by a screw .

There is no screw that i see that contacts the linkage.

On mine, the screw is on the driver's side. It is partially hidden, keep looking.

If its a pre electronic Qjet, the idle speed screw is just inboard of the throttle linkage. Its a 5/16" hex/slotted screw mounted on the side of the carb. Head of the screw faces the front of the car.

If the carb has an idle solonoid, follow the engine decal on how to set the base idle and the activated idle speed.
