Quadrajet Jet Problems

Hi, Name Is Don Have A 1980 El Camino With A Mid Seventys 350 With Headers,factory Alunium Intake- That Is All The History I Have On Motor Ran Real Strong But Had No Choke Set Up Got Swap Meet Q Jet . Rebuilt Run Poor Fals In Face Wot ,lean At Idel Old Carb Had 76 Primary Jets Think New Carb Has Yo Small Of Jets What Is A Standard Jet Sive For My Set Up? Told It Has A Mild Cam Dont Think So. Help Don

Because of differences in the air bleeds, you need to post the carb number to get some idea of hat you're working with and how to jet it.

Also post what primary rods are in it.

Q jets are great carbs. Just harder to get parts for than a Holley. WOT lean condition is most likely an air door adjustment. you can order jets rods and hangers online. http://quadrajetparts.com/jets-rods-hangers-secondary-hangers-secondary-hanger-615-p-162.html
