i have had nothing but problems from my guad 4barrel. but the 2 barrel i have works great. if you really want a guad then buy one new not remanufactured there real junk, i know i have one now.they will run you about 400 at a chevy dealership, but you can buy a new chrome 650 holley for 210.00 at advance auto and its brand new and they work great no problems.

cochev was right, here we go again. The problem with q-jets is most people don't really understand how to tune them properly. Alot has to figured in, but when done correctly they'll provide great fuel mileage, low end power, and instant throttle response. Street Rod Magazine just did an article on why the q-jet was and is probably the best STREET carb ever built. They don't make for great RACE carbs, even though guys run them with good luck. I'm going through my 800 cfm q-jet now and almost got it - I believe a lighter spring in the fuel circuit and I'll be a happy camper. To answer your original post, The Carb Shop sells em, Jet Performance Sells them as well - depending on your application, both shops will modify the carb to fit your needs.
