Yes...I posted a similar question in the "bodies" section as well...I am looking for an extremely good quality Willys body, and need feedback on a couple of companies. I already know that Outlaw is top notch, and have heard Dennis Taylor stuff is also great stuff...but I have also heard great things about a company out of Buffalo NY called "A & C Autos"...or "Antique and Collectable Autos"...Anyone familiar with them? I know they do only all "hand-laid" glass bodies, reinforced with wood....and are dimensionally correct...but have never seen them in person. I have also heard good things about Heritage. Obviously I want best quality with minimal cost. (Don't we all...) I have only heard negative things about Willys Works, Active Power and a few others....(and of course the dreaded "Street Beasts"). Whichever I choose, I will probably have the same company build the chassis too, so that is a consideration as well. I appreciate any feedback re: this, and, being a new guy here, thanks for having such a great board for my questions. <img src="graemlins/evil.gif" border="0" alt="[evil]" />

Hahahah....geez Sammy...I didn't know that Monte was a Yenko??? You better get off-line and start looking for Street's '79 Camaro before he wakes up and realizes what a boat-anchor that car is!!!

Also...what about "american Street Rod Design" bodies?? Anybody have any idea about them??

Forget about active power, I did a 41 willys for a friend that was made by active power and let me tell you this thing was about as bottom of the barrel as they come. Would never even think about touching one of those again. For example the doors only open a certain amount then they hit the front fenders, I called active power on this and there reply was "we sell cloth straps to stop the doors before they hit the fenders". Well this guy is 6"3 and he can barely fit in the door opening, thats how short it opens.Hood fit was a real joke, did the best I could possible do with it. That was just a couple of the many issues with this body, my advise stay away from this one even if you can get it for next to nothing.

In march of '03 I landed a partially built OUTLAW body with custom chassis, 454 crate motor with 6-71 Kuhl Blower, 700r4, Rod lites with 18.5 Hoosiers, MSD ignition, walker radiator,....basically alot of the stuff we need to get the thing going. Its STILL in production as I am saving for an EFI / Enderle bugcatcher unit for it, as well aas building zoomies for it. Damn glad I found the OUTLAW THOU .

I bought a 41 willys body from Active Power and put a $3000 deposit on the body and after 4 month`s of waiting ,The owner Chrs told me he spent the money on the building rent and would try and get my body finished. I finally received the body and it had air bubbles in the fiberglass and some spot`s the fiberglass was real thin . The door`s do not open all the way with out hitting the fenders and the hood was not wide enough to fit fender to fender, and there was not enough lip on the fenders to bolt them together. All he could tell me is have my body man fix it !!!!! Stay far away from ACTIVE POWER !!!!
