quarter panel cost?

Welll I have a 67 Camaro and I'm going to send it to get both quarter panels replaced in 2 weeks. I'm going to have the 80% panels put in. What is a fair price to have both panels replaced on the East coast? Thanks Randy

Well I got no response so let try this. My friend is going to replace both quarters for $750.00 parts and labor. Is that a fair price? I'm sure it is but I have not checked with anyone else to know.

You did not post your location, but want specific information on prices that depend on your location. If you want a price on a part, it may not matter much on your location. When you consider labor costs, it definately matters where you are. Several years ago, I was an insurance field adjuster. I covered an area that was 200 miles across and was in Va and NC. The body shop labor rates at that time ranged from as low as $26/hr to $34/hr. When body repairs are priced by labor hrs, at the prevailing rate in that area, it matters alot what your location is. On the east coast alone, the labor could reasonably vary by several hundred dollars.

The price you quoted, appears to be a killer deal to me. I just hope you get a quality job.

I live in NC. I just wanted to get an idea about how much it would cost to take to a body shop and have both quarters replaced? Thanks for the replies.

In 2000, in NC the rates from the coast to Rock Mount and north were $34/hr. In the Roanoke Rapids area, there was a shop that was trying to get everyone to go up to $36/hr. I don't know what they are, but would guess that they have all gone up to atleast $36, maybe higher. In SE Va, at that time they ranged from $26 to $30 and now they are $34 to $36.

At those rates, they could easilly charge you what you quoted, just for the labor.
