Post Question on a 1994 Nissan Altima

I know this questions is about an import, but I know the people on here really know their stuff, so please bear with me. I have a 1994 Nissan ALtima that really makes a tapping noise from the drivers side wheel. It sounds like something is smacking the wheel or tire, but there isn't anything there to hit it. The funny thing is, when I turn to the right it quits! Then when I turn back the other way, to the left, it does it. Any ideas what it could be? It's driving me crazy. It's not a daily driver. I drive my 1972 C-10 more as a daily driver. Thanks in advance!

Yep, that would be it. Better get 'em fixed before your wheel falls off. Not kidding! Check your CVC boot, odds are it's torn and the joint is contaminated with road grime, etc. accelerating wear.

Check for a rock imbedded in the tire while you are checking the CV joint, stranger things have happened.

I was hoping that wasn't the problem, but now that you mention it, I remember the boot being torn enough where you can see it clearly. Thanks for the help!
