question about a ford 9 inch

hello i was told you could change center section pumpkin out with out pulling Axel's is this true? i all ways thought you had to pull the Axel's out first thanks kelly

You have to pull the axles.......

k thank you i thought so he was saying the spider gears was in the axel tubes and when you slid the 3rd member in it slipped in to the spiders thanks again kelly

9-inch spider gears are in the carrier and come out with the rest of the center section.
