I have about a dozen never opened cans of Chromaclear 7500 various temp activators from 94 or so. They're all still fluid and I was wondering if it could be any good any more and is there any use for it with any of todays products.

Unopened, they should be fine, unless they were exposed to a lot of cold temperatures, where the inside of the can created condensation, even then, they should be fine but will go down hill fast once exposed to air.

Best thing to do is just pour a little clear out on a lid or can top, dab some activator and mix, don't worry about the exact ratio, mix with a stick and let set over night, if still reactive, it will be hard, if not, you will know in morning.

As far as what clears it'll mix with ,I'd say any urathane clear or SS paint with the same 4:1 mix ratio.

WOW!

Risky at best, 4:1 activators may be 30% solids or the highest one we make is 90% and everywhere in-between. Paint will dry but if ratio is off never cure out fully or it could be over activated.

Might be good for door jamb or cutting in but I would never put this on the outside of a car without the proper activator.

Not sue if that clear was replaced with another clear or not, if not buy the activator, if it has been replaced, check with jobber to see what the replacement was and if that activator will work.

Even if replaced, companies don't change their strips and solid content would most likely be real close.

Other option is start mixing any activators with it so it sets up.

Dam where were you a few months ago? I had a gallon of old 7500 but no activators. I used Nason activator in it and crossed my fingers. Supposedly the Nason clear is just the old 7500 anyway. So far so good.
