Mike,

I just used Evercoat Slick Sand polyester primer on my '69 Vette. I really like it. It sprays on smoother than Evercoat's Feather Fill yet still is very high build. I used 180 grit dry on a sanding board and it flattened out real nice. I am going to finish it off with Evercoat Uro-Fill urethane before spraying the SS urethane paint.

Roger

I also use Slick Sand and it works great need a spray gun with a 2.3 tip. I spray 2 coats block with 80 spray 2 more coats block with 180. Use SPI black epoxy first so you can see high and low spots. It was not a Corvette but a fiberglass Shelby hood and deck lid.

I used a cheapo spray gun from Harbor Freight with a 2.0 tip.
However, I do mix in a touch of acetone to thin it down just a little.
Works great.

I like the slick sand and the U-Pol but not to long ago a jobber gave me a quart of Debeers polyester to try and it reminded me of the old original Spies polyester.
I really like the debeers but have no idea the cost and is sure its more than the slick sand. They all work pretty good.
