Question for Edelbrock Performer fuel pump owners

I just bought a Performer fuel pump and I'm eyeing this thing up before I mount it. Is it my imagination or is this thing up against the motor mount?? My Holley fuel pump is smaller in diameter, I don't want to mount this thing if I have to send it back. How much clearance do you have between the pump and the mount? Is there enough room to put a fitting on there to turn 90 degree towards the ground? This 350 is in a Ford F100 mounted in the original 77 Monte Carlo sub frame. One problem is that the original fuel line would have come through a hole in the cross member, my fuel line comes in the front and exits in the front.

I have about 1 1/2"-2" before it hits the mount. I have a 54 chevy p/u with homemade motor mounts so yours could be wider.
Good Luck
