Question on gas tank fit.

Hey guys my brother is needing a gas tank for his 55 Oldsmobile 88 and I found one for a new 57 chevy belair-210-150 models gas tank im wondering if it's the same gas tank?

If you guys know where I can get one please let me know.

The bodies having shared design similarity is no guarantee that the filler neck and vent tubes of gas tanks will be in the right location on the tank to properly fit across brands. Sometimes tanks are close enough to being the same they can be adapted, sometimes not. Can you find the original size and dimensions of the tank?
