question on heads
I have a pair of 3998991 heads that are from a 72-73 307-350 engine. It has a 75cc chamber volume. I did a little research and it shows it having 1.72/1.50 valves. How would these heads react on a mild stock 350 engine??

hey dude, don't expect much from these cylinder heads. With a stock cam, exhaust, intake, 8.0:1 or lower compression, they'll make about 180-190 H.P. especially with those little baby valves. However, if you're not going to go hot rodding, this engine will be a very good driver, and will idle very, very well. idle-4000 rpm torque will be adequate to cruise to the grocery store.

I wasn't expecting to much from them anyway. LOL
I didn't think they were even worth mentioning anyway. I do have a set of 487X heads with 1.94/1.50 valves and Z-28 springs (.500 lift). I think I will go ahead and use these.
