Question regarding Borg Warner Super T 10.............
I was wondering what version tranny I have in my car. #'s on trans are...
WF 582 (on drivers side, printed up and down) Gear cover plate (can't read them all, but I got 1 - 087301) pass side = 13 04 065 903 WG DIV FpC 1 I know some of these codes (ex 903 is aluminum case, WF 582 is Warner gear, June 1978, 2nd shift) but I don't know any of the other ones. Trying to find out if this is a good tranny of a low powered POS.

Super T-10
There are no bad super t-10's, the're all stronger than a Muncie(except the rockcrusher). Mark the input and output splines in one spot, put it in first and count the number of input revolutions it takes to get one output revolution. Common 70's ratios are 2.43, 2.64, and 2.88. Almost all TA's except 301 cid models got the 2.43 box.
