question on sewing machine parts .

hello guys , attached is a picture i borrowed off dans thread in sewing tips, my question is , i have a toyota walking foot sewing machine that came without a manual and i cant get a manual either , the plate with the serated edges around the opening is worn and i cant find a toyota one over here in the uk. now the plate in this pic looks identical to mine and so does the feed dog. are these parts a standard item inter-changable between machines. thanks for looking . ade

Possibly you have a Singer 111w clone. I can tell you this - my Consew 225 is a Singer 111W clone. All my parts are interchangeable. GOOGLE "Singer 111W" and see if it looks like yours.

The picture is of my Consew 226, and it too is a clone of the Singer 111W. Some of the many clones of the Singer are Artisan, Brother, Consew, Mitsubishi, Juki, and Seiko. If I remember right, Toyota was bought by Mitsubishi who was bought by Juki, so there's a good chance your parts are interchangeable.

The part you're looking for is called a throat plate.

thanks dan , ive attached some pictures of mine , looks a lot like the singer 111w.















ive measured the throat plate , could you do a comparrision on your machine. thanks adrian

Yes, if you change the bobbin on the right side of the needle. The throat plate would be the same.

yeah the bobbins on the right side of the needle. so its a copy of the singer. cool that means certain parts are available. thanks guys.
