questions about swapping R/E gears from a 12 bolt Gm into a Pontiac 10 bolt housing l

I have a 69 pontiac bonneville that has a 10 bolt rearend,, probably a 28 spline,// with 3.08 gears,, and also I have a 12 bolt[ 1977] out of a surburban, with a 3.72 posi , probably a 31 spline?? they are the same width, so what I am wondering is,, would it be possable to change over the posi and axles into the pontiac 10 bolt housing?? I could probably change the whole rear end , but the spring locations are in different locations,, so it would involve some fab work to make it work,, the pontiac is a 8.2" and the 12 Bolt is a 8.7/8,,,[,I Think] any one have any suggestions : confused:

Thanks Bill
