Questions about wiring a custom aluminum fuel cell

Wiring a fuel cell is new to me.

Custom aluminum cell. 2 fuel pumps, Y'd into a single outlet. Each pump has its own power leads/feeds.

First, looking for recommedations on plates/connectors for the top of the cell, for the electrical lines. Maybe something that will accept some sort of weather pack like connector?

Second, what is the proper wire splicing method for the lines in the cell? The leads on both pumps are too short, so I am going to have to add some wire to get to the top of the tank. How to do so? Solder the extensions on, then use heat shrink on the wires? I would think the heat shrink will succumb to the fuel and deteriorate.

Thanks,
Jeff

If you use the heat shrink, use the stuff with the hotmelt glue lining. When it shrinks the glue melts and forms a total seal to the wire's insulation. I do not know what gas will do to the heatshrink. TF
