questions on my frankenstein
hey my name is james people call me biscuit. ive got a 69' vw bug that im turning into a hotrod or rat rod depends on you definition. so here goes its a 69' vw beetle that i have a 86' ford ranger frame under body then have a 350 efi and 700r4 tranny from a 90 suburban to put in it and in process of getting a ford 9"rear end for it. also using vw for cab and puting a 1960's chevy truck bed on it
here's the money i got in it so far vw bug-free 86' ford ranger-paid 500 for truck i drove it till it blew so it worked off the 500 90' suburban-paying 400 today for it and will prolly make a good portion of what i paid for parting what i dont use so ya my questions are #1 will the mounting the 350 and the tranny be terribly hard and what is involved ranger had a 4 cylinder in it #2 will there need to be suspension work done or will the ranger suspension be suffice? if so next question applies #3 saw a guy who had a suspension like the kind on a 35' miller indy car was curious as to if anyone here knew any info on how its set up etc? #4 any suggestions/opinions/constructive critcism etc would be appreciated thanks |
