Questions on TV cable and converter lockup on 700r4

I've just read TVmadeEZ add. I'm Replacing a t350 with a t700r4. Is this kit necessary and is replacing the spring needed without the kit? Johns cars sent me two switches one vacuum and one pressure to lock up the TC, and a blue and brown speedometer gears. this 700 has an electric speedo. I'm totally confused. Please help?

It's a nice kit but, not neccesary. Normally, you only need to replace the TV spring when using BTO's TVMadeEZ kit.

The Vacuum switch prevents Lockup when vacuum is low & allows Lockup when vacuum is high/higher.
The Pressure switch goes in the 4th gear Pr. Port on the Valvebody, it sense 4th Pr. & supplys -Ground to complete the circuit.

You will need the correct Throttle & TV cable bracket + TV Geometry corrector Bracket.

""What type Carb are you using""?

Quadrajet, I planned (hoped) to be able to use the 350 kick down cable bracket.

May be able to Mod the Detent cable bracket for TV cable use.

The Q-Jet's shaft for Detent cable & TV/ThrottleValve cable have 2 different Throttle linkage position mounting points. This throws off the TV cables geometry & will need to be swapped or modded.

BTO 'may' have an TV adapter kit for this.

Bto?

OK but who or what is BTO ? This still doesn't answer if I need the blue and brown gears with an electronic speedometer and if it will hook up directly to my 85 JAG XJS's speedometer ?

The 'Jags That Run' site should have the Speedo Info.
