Questions on valve adjustment on a sbc

Hey got a question..I have really only ever adjusted the valves on my sbc with intake manifold off, which made it very easy...my question is is there a good routine or way of performing a valve adjustment on completly assembled running engine with posi lock rollers with hydraulic cam.. my issue is trying to figure out when each cylinder is ready to adjust?? Ive heard of split one and adjust the other in a perticular sequence?? with intake off you can see lifters which made it so much easier!! any tips would be great

as far as i know what you do to adjust hydraulic valves on a already running engine is ... first take an old valve cover cut enough out of the top to put a wrench in then take good valve cover off put destroyed valve cover on .. start engine then loosen off adjusting nut until valve "clacks" then tighten back until clacking just stops and tighten one quarter turn more ... but don't quote me on the quarter turn could be more depending who you talk to hope this helps

Ya Ive done that on stock valve train..but with roller rockers with posi locks..dosent seem realistic??and I DO NOT want a mess from running engine even with my cut open spare cover..my cam manufacture says 1/2 turn in..
