NOT TRYING TO SOUND LIKE A ***** BUT.....
how much cash did you lay out for your bc/cc? you'd spray that on top of cheapo rattle can primer? do it right, or you'll do it twice. like i said, i really am not trying to sound like a richard. what sealer do you have? if it's an epoxy, your good to go. |

You can use the rattle can primer but the results won't be nearly as good. Expect shrinkage, dieback, and possibly adhesion problems. Anything in a spraybomb is a 1K product. Great stuff for quick and cheap used car type work, but I wouldn't use it on anything you actually care about. JMO's

So then I guess my next Question should be...... If I take one spot down to bare metal, should I take the whole car down to metal??
I did not spend a ton of money on my bs/cc system. I get all my stuff at Jobber prices. Any suggestions on what to use as far as a kind of primer/surfacer/sealer?? The sealer I have now doesn't say whether it's an epoxy or not. I will have to call my supplier on that one. Thanks for the replys guys, and don't hold back Larry, give it to me straight

Its always best to stick to the same brand of products when possible. All hardened primers work with any brand of paint, but sometimes you get the bonus of using the same reducer for paint and primer. You really don't need sealer if you prep the car properly.
