a quick carb question...

Alright guys/gals. I feel like I know my way around an engine fairly well now, but carbs are still a big mystery. I've read tons of threads on peoples problems on here and there's always big talk about using a vacuum gauge to tune it. Well, I don't have one yet (I know they are cheap, but my project isn't running yet and all the work I do is on my bro's truck), but I'm going to get one soon. My question is, will a "How to tune a holley" book tell me how to use this along with samples of what to look for while tuning ie:what to do when it's rich, and how to tell if it's lean? I'm pretty sure it would, but just thought I'd ask.

You might check at the library and see if they have that book. You could then see if it has the information in it you want.

Please go to the Knowledge Base, there are a lot of sites including one from Holly, a free downloadable troubleshooting guide. Also a manual.
