Quick Change Rear Ends

I want to use a quick change rear end on my next build. The ones for racing generally cost half what ones used for the street cost. I know some designed for racing have different length axles. Can any designed for racing be used for the street?

as long as it has a " posi chunk" or "carrier" and not a" spool "it can be run on the street if it has a "spool" it is not designed to turn corners there fore it will break the gears when you start turning corners

The ones for racing have different housing ends and axles, along with different hubs and brakes.

Racing versions are full floating hubs

You can get a bare 60" assembly for use with 5X5 wheel pattern and a locker for $2000. The axles and hubs will cost another $500. You can only normally get a 4.86 or a 4.11 gear. A differential in place of the locker will cost a little more.
