quick connects for LVLP?

Are the larger quick connects needed for an Astro EVO LVLP gun, or are those recomended for HVLP guns? I am currently installing the copper piping in my garage for the air compressor and want to get it right the first time, so hopefully when I attempt to paint a fender in a couple of weeks, it will turn out okay.

Also, do those disposable large round filters that are supposed to attach to the gun very restrictive? If they are not, then I need to pick up a couple of those as well. I want to improve my odds of removing any junk or water without effecting operation of the gun.

You can't go wrong with bigger fittings, the tool will never pull
more air than it needs but most are easily starved.
Most spray guns spray better with the bigger fittings, even non HVLP's.
And air tools like impact wrenches and sanders improve too.
I have switched most of mine over to 3/8" and seen a improved difference
in all of my higher cfm tools.
I made a universal adapter with disconnects for connecting to tools
without the bigger fittings.
