I know this is old, but a lot of good ideals. I took some Pics to post, but had issues with my photoshop program and they laid dormant. Just got it up and running again so will add these as "relevant information" to add to this thread that is over 100 days old.

I have a large roll around tool chest that has a 2 inch hardwood work top. I move it close to what ever I am working on and have at it. Tools are put back in their place after use to save me from searching through a pile that tends to form and at the end of the job, a quick glance into the drawers tell me I have not misplaced any tools.
