Quick sanding question

I'm finishing up the wet sanding process and plan to paint tomorrow and wondered is wet sanding with 400 and painting the enamel ok or do I scuff it up with red scotchbrite before I paint. Thanks

should be fine if you are wetsanding a new coat. ie: (a coat that hasn't been sanded with anything yet). make sure you rinse well, and wipe down with a wax and grease remover before spraying any paint.

ps. wetsanding the night before has caused me trouble in the past. I don't know how hot it is there, but some water may stay in crevices that will be blown out on your paint when you spray tomorrow.

good luck! post pictures when your done!

400 will be fine but it doesnt hurt to hit it with scotchbrite especially in areas that are hard to sand just to be sure you got it all scuffed.

after I scuff all the edges I always scuff the whole car,It just looks prettier and I feel I've better about getting EVERYTHING...
My problem with watersanding before paint is most guys use too much water and it goes in all the gaps, when the water dries theres a dust residue left behind that needs cleaning too and it wont come off with a blower,it makes for a lot of extra work...I use very little water and squeegie it off as I go ,you can also tape up your gaps to keep it out...if it aint there it wont need to be cleaned up.
