Quick tranny question
Hello.
The whinning sound in my tranny im being told is the backlash needing adjusting. I was told that it wont hurt to drive it, but the noise will drive you nuts. Is it ok to drive a while before I get it fixed? HG

I've never herd of backlash needing adjusting in a trans, maybe the rear end. Could the whine be coming from the tran pump? If it is the pump than there is no-telling when it might go out.
