Quiet vs regular air impact?

After a bit of research I have pretty much settled on the IR 2135 titanium 1/2" impact. Now I find that this model is also made in a 'quiet' version. Is the quiet version worth the extra $30 over what the regular model costs & is this actually effective or more of a gimmick? Are the extended anvils a good thing or is it better to use an extension where needed?
Thanks,
Steve

I think the sound is a beautiful sound so I would not go for the quit wrench! Its fun to work on cars and make noise.

I can't really tell a difference b/t the quiet an regular IR 2135s. I have the regular one with regular length anvil. I say get the regular one and use the $30 you saved to get you half way to a complete of IR impact rated deep well sockets.

Oh yeah, don't worry about the extended anvil....unless you rotate/remove your tires with great frequency.

My impact goes from loud to quiet for $.30.... about the cost of some foam earplugs, lol!! The great thing is that if the guy in the next bay complains about the noise, the "impact mufflers" make it so I can't hear him, either, lol!!
