Post R & P steering design

I've started a engine swap and forgot to plan out a few things. One of them being steering. It seems that my factory steering box is sitting where the driver's side header will need to go. Rack and pinion looks like the way to go. What are the steepest angles I will want to make when planning out my steering setup? What should be my first step in planing out my steering?

TIA

Cool

Check the Borgenson, Flaming River and Iditit web pages., Between them all your questions should be answered and you'll be able to use their diagrams to do the design work.

Totally agree with jalopy45- when I grafted in my own MII components from a salvage yard I was told to keep any angle less than a 30 degree-now new racks and joints make the installation more straightforward and pretty easy- and I LOVE my POWER rack!! I can turn this Henry around on a dime!!! Good Luck!!
