R134A A/C Hoses?
Three times I've placed the gauges onto the high side of 3 different vehicles and twice the high side service valve has broken andfell into the system. Has anyone ever heardofthis happening before?

Never heard of such a thing. I have a few cheapo hose/connector assemblies that have too short of a pin and do not depress the valve enough to get any reading at all.
Apparently, your pin is too long causing it to torture the valve plunger pin---that'd be my cracker jack theory.
