WHHHEEEWWW!!!! Gonna have to put some metal in there and weld it. Also DO NOT use any brass rod or solder in that because it will contaminate where you want to weld. In other words you will have to remove what you already did so you can mig weld it. TAKE YOUR TIME. When you weld you have to go back and forth to minimize warpage. Go every inch or so apart the full length, then come back and go between, then come back and go between that and so on and so forth. If you start at on end and work continous you will have one huge mess that you will not be able to fix. Either go to the library, or do some extensive search on the internet AND go into the Knowledge Base on this site and read all you can about welding. Take your time and do it right the first time. Good luck.

Kevin

Woa gentlemen,

The mig welder is excellent compared to brazing. I wish I would have not even touched the car with the braze rod n torch. The torch created so much metal distortion it is crazy. The mig welder on the other hand I cant even feel the slightest bit of distortion. It feels and almost looks like the factory. (The other side aughta look a hell of a lot better) It feels flawless other then the air pockets. Here are some recent pictures http://groups.msn.com/BettaPics/shoebox.msnw?Page=Last

Ill fill the imperfections in with fiberglass later. By next week the other side will be mig welded and then I wont post no more up on this subject. Thanks guys, Chris

Oh yea I used arc welding rod to fill in some of the gap with the mig welder.
