For sheer simplicity, nothing beats a TH350 or TH400. No electronics to mess with and easily serviced.

if i were you i would get a 700, from bowtie overdrives www.speedomotive.com/Assembled%20Engines.htmand adding a fuelinjection system of choice, possibly from <a href="http://www.getfuelinjected.com/mpi_kits.html]electromotive[/URL]that way you get complete controll over what you get. and for the 6000 dollars a ram jet costs you can get ALOT of performance engine and fuelinjection...

something went a little wrong up there, but here is another link to cheap fuelinjection http://www.speedomotive.com/Assembled%20Engines.htm i think you are much better off with a setup you can controll yourself, instead of somthing GM slapped together to ride a wave of EFI interest...

WE ARE IN THE FINAL STAGES OF INSTALLING A RAM JET 350 IN A 57 BELAIR AND ARE REALLY EXICTED ABOUT THE OUTCOME. I WENT WITH THE 700R AND PLAN ON 336 GEARS SINCE IT WILL BE A STREET MACHINE-BUT ALL MY RESEARCH AND FRIENDLY INPUT INDICATE THIS WILL BE A GOOD MIX. GM SAYS ALL YOU NEED IS 12 VOLTS AND GAS TO GET THIS ENGINE RUNNING-NOT QUITE SO. YOU WILL HAVE PLUMBING QUESTIONS/FUEL TANK QUESTIONS ETC. WE HAVE HAD IT RUNNING AND WITH LITTLE EFFORT WERE TURNING TIRES IN A CEMENT PARKING LOT. WENT WITH A BIG BLOCK CROSSFLOW RADIATOR AND SERPINTINE BELT SYSTEM-LOOKS GREAT AND HAVE HIGH EXPECTIONS FOR DRIVEABILITY WHICH WAS MY GOAL. SPECIFIC QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE ANY ARE WELCOME-WILL ATTEMPT TO BE RESPONSIVE. CHUCK
