Is this rare or not?

Can anybody tell me if this is a good find for $1500 Canadian? I was interested in a 64 but this guy is trying to get me to buy his 74... He has the original owners manual, and logbook, which I know is a good thing, but is this car really worth it?

What am I looking at really? I dont want to buy a car and have it turn out to be worthless in the end. Im sure somebody can tell me what this car is worth, he says hes selling it because he doesnt have anywhere to store it.

I have some pictures of it looks like its in good shape!

Thanks for the information!

Try to get what you really want.

Maybe you should hold for what you really want instead of what will soothe the hot rod craving you have now. Sure, you could make it work out and it may come out great, but it will not be what you really wanted. I believe in a little Karma where stuff like this is concerned. No sooner you drop the bucks for the '74 a nice '64 is going to turn up.

Increase your search and save your bucks for the cherry that has your name on her.

Gee Whiz! What kind of car is it? A 64 and a 74 does not really tell us much.

Ford or Chevy....I would still rather have a 64. But thats just me. A 74 just does not interest me.

I have to admit I dont like the body nearly as much as the 64. I think I will wait until I find a nice 64!

I would like to avoid having that constant nagging in my head that it really isnt the car I want!

I can't remember anyone being excited about them in '74 either. 1974 was the last year before catalytic converters and when they tried to reduce emissions by detuning them... they ran like crap.

I doubt if you are going to find a decent 64 for $1500..................

I wouldn't even think of selling my 64 for anywheres near $1,500....and I doubt there is a 74 out there that I would pay $100 for............

I say hold out for the 64 if it is what you really want. Look at it this way: that could be $1500 toward the car you want instead of "settling" for the 74. A friend here has a nice 64 XL. Sweet car. Cant say a 74 would do anything at all for me, but... it probably does for somebody.

A 74 Ford Galaxy is not worth scrap value IMO.

Is this rare or not?

As you can tell -- I"m not much of a Ford person. But I"ve been a "car person " all my life. Arcadian perhaps- was a Canadian Chevy. Novas,Chevelles, etc. with "Pontiac mags & Pontiac looking grilles". ?????. Never heard of a Canadian.
