Well you can't go wrong with Mexican blankets! Alot of people just lay them on bench seats but my wife sews so she actually made our headliner and door panels with with them and it looks really cool.

I know alot of people will have some good ideas but most of all do what you like.

Most rat rods do not have a upolstered interior....they take out the door panels, the headliner, the carpet..everything but the seat......The interior is primer just like the outside....all they do to the old seat is throw an old army blanket or something on it.

Go full rat, throw out the entire interior-seats included and sit on 5 gal buckets.

I have to chuckle about this thread. My kid brother, now 60 years young, special ordered a 67 Dart muscle car and drove it for years. When he retired it to the salvage yard, it had more tire changes than oil changes. It would make a perfect rat rod today if he had not pulled the hemi before it went to the salvage yard. It had not had an interior for years and the only seat in the house was a beat up, broken down bucket seat out of something he scrounged. He drove the car to and from work and almost ever light was a drag for him. He owned a Super Bird in this time frame. Got it cheap because the first owner could never beat his beat up Dart. Wonder if he could have been an original rat rodder? Nah, the car was too new to even be considered a hot rod, even when it was introduced to the crusher.

Most of the old MoPars around here have no floors. Mother Nature is not kind to MoPars.

Rat rodding a 67 anything to me sounds dumb. Not cool, but I am sure I'd change my mind if I saw it.But,I respect you.In my 52 chevy,I did it in leopard print.Head liner, package tray, door panels and seats.Cost is not much, just got the fabric from Wal-mart.Mexican blankets are cool too.I hope your project goes great.Lord knows a lot of projects don't.Hell a lot of people just leave the ugly holes in the seats and drive it like that.I covered the holes in mine because the holes were HUGE.Didn't want the padding blowing around while I was driving.I think rats lived in it before I got it.Anyways, good luck!
