rat rod project

hello everyone ive been away a while and i got a plan on building a rat rod out of a 37 ford truck i want to pull the body off a 73 lincoln and shorten the frame then put the 37 body on it

i want to keep the a/c from the lincoln and the 460ci of course

would this even be possible? if so some tips and advice would be awsome

way too wide.

I think the lincoln will be way too wide and the front suspension be way too clunky. Check out Cboy build info on this site . a lot of good pictures of his various build projects

consider taking a late 70's grand Marquis or vic frame. find one with a 351m/400 it has the same mounts as 460. there are everywhere in the bone yards.

the rails push clear out too the sides, but are less than 3x3 box tubing, if you cut the front and rear off you have a nice width rear (9 inch in some) and a decent front end, which can be welded to 4x4 box tubing nice and strait, and as narrow as you need. i did one, ill dig up pics.
