Im wanting to practice airbrushing murals on my car but want it to be washable not very easily scratched yanno? What primer do some of these ratrod guys use iv noticed that the primer on their rides doesent like scratch easy so you cant see the marks. Iv noticed that it is a little shiney to. Im gonna be driving my car around in primer till I can afford Kandy for it but I want it to look really good. Is their any speacial primer?

you use a flatening agent in the clear, so you pint the car BC/CC with a flat clear and presto... your car has the look. an other option would be a John Deere Blitz Black Paint SS, they cost 34$ for a gallon and are really durable

I use a good (I prefer PPG) epoxy primer. One of the most durable finishes you can use. These are also known as sealers. They usually come in grey, black, red, or yellow, but I believe they can be tinted to get all kinds of fun colors. Becareful, they're not cheap.
