Rattle can for graphics

Can I use the rattle can paint sold at Wall-Mart for graphics
over my base coat or intercoat then clear over it with urethane.
I think the rattle can is lacquer based and am concerned it would
be non compatible.

You need to know for sure jc if it's enamel or lacquer base. If it's very thick and enamel and not cured well, it will wrinkle like a cooked prune.
I have cleared over spray can graphic's alot wil good results. I started with can's on metal & wood to see if I could even do them.
I don't recommend this as an automotive procedure but, paint IS paint.
Pinstripe is basic enamel and is cleared over all the time. Some put hardener of sort's in with it but it's been done without for years.
Main thing is that it's good and cured.
Depending on the graphic, lightly scuff it with a gray pad for better adhesion if possible.

Thanks, so if it's lacquer is it ok?
I always wondered if urethane was ok over lacquer.
I've heard some are, some aren't.???

Not sure on lacquer myself. IF the clear was a non reduced type,I'd say it was good to go,which is what I use mostly.DuPont 7600 or Nason Select.
A clear that has a heavy reducer ratio, not so sure.Sorry.
