Rattle can primer over fixes

I am using a rattle can primer to coat areas I have repaired until I can paint the entire vehicle. Now I will be doing the whole she-bang (primer bc/cc) later on and wondered if I have to sand off all the rattle can primer before I put on my first coat of primer or will it be okay to leave it.

you should use an etch primer in a rattle can and leave it. Sand it completely off later.
