im putting an engine and trans (350tbi/700r4) from an 86 pickup into an 83 camaro. i cant find a description or picture of the rawl diode module. is it required for everything to work right? does anyone have a pic of it? thanks

No picture, but follow the ppl/wht wire from the TCC solenoid and it will be at the end of that wire.

Maybe explain what is going on in a more general way and possibly more help might be offered...

i dont have the truck. i bought just engine trans ecu and wire harness. the wire is solid purple no white strip. tcc plug has three wires, light blue, purple, and tan/white. tan/white and light blue both go to ecu, purple stops where it would have gone into the cab of the truck. the rest of the wire harness is made up i just need to know what to do with the purple wire from tcc.

Sounds like something to pick up from a junk yard. New, something like that could be some money.

will it drive properly without it? if not i guess ill have to make a trip to pullapart

My guess is no, but then I've never tried it. I'd want to reinstall it, if possible.
