By filling the rad you fill the block also .
Start your motor and check coolant with motor running ' and the rad cap removed .
Rad will be cold of course when you first start the motor so there is no chance of getting burned ..and once the thermostat opens you will see the coolant circulating in the rad .
If it appears low add some more coolant .
When rad is full put on the cap and put some coolant in the reservoir
