A re-run of Overhaulin' or new episode tonight?
Just watched Overhaulin' where they did a '56 Ford School Bus for John Force. Very cool. New episode or re-run? I can't tell anymore........... Scott from Coddington's shop was on it though, how many does that make now that have jumped ship? Charlie, Mike, Scott and ?????

Just watched it too. I dont really like John Force but I watched it anyways. I hate the fact they re-do celebrity cars, why the heck do they get all the treats, they have the money to do it anyways
Doenst matter, we're keeping it true and real by building our own rides in our own shops building them the way we like to and knowing that a piece of us is in the car. Mike |

Don't have an opinion on John Force either way other than he has some hot looking daughters but I always thought it would be cool to trick out one of those old "short" buses and thought that one was very cool. Not overdone just very cool.

I like John Force......He was not born a spoiled rich kid. He worked his way up from SQUAT, with hard work and tough times.
I have met him twice at the Indy nationals and he always takes the time for the fans. Sure, it is all commercialized now, but in my mind, he is the one guy that deserves every acolade that he ever gets. As for the bus, I think they should have left dual wheels on the back....just my opinion.

I've always liked John Force. Not just an "A" type personality, more like "double A".
I usually watch the shows to glean what little technical content that I can from them, ignoring the "drama." I listened a little closer last night. First, he is planning on using this bus to haul a funny car to schools and other events with kids. This is the kind of thing the young people in this country need. A guy that was raised in a tiny trailer with a bunch of brothers and sisters. Poor as dirt. He worked hard and paid a lot of dues to get to where he is today. Kids need to see that they can do the same thing. Second, assuming he didn't know he was being overhauled, did you catch his comments about pressing charges. He was concerned that it might have been some kids goofing off, making a mistake, and picking up a record for being dumb. As a side note, not sure if it was the Force bus or the Mustang last night, but did you see Scott who used to work for BC? |

Cool Bus. Typical Force.
But you do get to see a "little" different side of him. I liked where Chris tells the Camera that John's never going to stop talking so we'll go just back to the shop. See, everyone knows he's a motor mouth. |

I think Force was deeply touched by this build. He was very toned down compared to his usual excited TV self. Of course I loved that show. That bus is what every school bus driver should have as a spare bus when theirs break down! That one they brought in on the trailer towards the end of the show sure would make a great rod as well.

That is a cool bus and I like what it's going to be used for. John was at a carshow here a while back. The line to get his autugraph was a mile long, but it was because he talked to EVERY person that stepped up. I admire the guy for his causes and of course his racing. He seems to be a regular guy.

I've had the pleasure of meeting John Force a few times, and in my opinion, he's a real guy. Down to earth, willing to chat if he has the time. At the races, he always likes to pick out the kids and the unfortunate ones with extra hand outs. And yes, his daughters are hot, however they are a little spoiled.
